Art Altounian is the co-founder and co-owner of Breakaway Indoor Cycling. An avid cyclist, Art enjoys both mountain biking and road riding equally, and he usually gets in at least 100 miles per week if the weather allows. Art and co-owner, Josh Smith discovered their passionate love of cycling together and insist on a Sunday epic ride each week. Having scaled virtually every hill so-cal has to offer, you will almost certainly go on a visual journey in your classes that will include scaling legendary roads such as Latigo Canyon, Decker Canyon, Stunt Road and others. Having taken his first spin class more than 12 years ago, it was a natural evolution that he would someday open a spinning studio. That day is now and he hopes to infuse his passion for cycling with each and every one of his students. As a side note, in 2009 Mr. Altounian completed his Pilates certification with Pilates Sports Center. He is also a Real Ryder certified indoor cycling instructor. |

Ginger Smith was first introduced to spinning in Manhattan’s Upper West Side in the summer of 2007 through a combination of curiosity and peer pressure. She was immediately hooked to the mental drive and focus it takes to get through class, and the endorphin rush that follows. While completing PSC’s Pilates teacher training program at Reebok Sports Club NY, she started noticing the importance alignment, balance, and the mind/body connection makes in getting the most out of a spinning workout. Four years later, Ginger got certified to teach through Mad Dogg Athletics in Venice, CA. Her upbeat classes are designed with a little motivation, pacing and sweat in mind to leave you feeling high on life when you walk out the door. |
